Level 3 Award in Education and Training (NOCN)

This eight-day NOCN course is the minimum requirement for trainers exploring how to plan, deliver and assess inclusive, motivational sessions that will help your learners achieve their potential, while promoting equality and diversity in the learning environment.

While some core theory is included, this is primarily an experiential course about the practical aspects of delivering training to adults.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is the new standard qualification for those considering delivering adult learning, replacing PTLLS as the minimum requirement by most organisations delivering adult education.

Exeter CVS are offering their next course starting 6th June 2017.  This course is partly funded through our partnership with Cornwall College Group.   The stipulation for funding is that you would intend to deliver some of your training in the community and voluntary sector. 

The course will be delivered as 8 classroom days supported by some home study.

Subjects will include:

 

  • An introduction to teaching and learning
  • Lesson planning
  • Assessment
  • Record keeping
  • Use of resources and teaching materials
  • Communication skills in teaching and learning
  • Promoting equality and diversity in the learning environment

 

This is an experiential course.  Although theory is a part of the delivery the bulk of the course will be about the practical aspects of delivering training to adults.
