Devon Carers Link – work with carers in Devon
Carers+ – a consortium of voluntary agencies led by carers – manages the Devon Carers Link (a network of services and support for carers in Devon).
Recently we have reviewed our work in order to increase the amount and quality of support we offer to carers. A number of vacancies have arisen which we are looking to fill. This is an exciting time to become part of a network delivering innovative services for carers in Devon.
County Carers Information & Communications Officer (21 hours per week) – salary equivalent to NJC 16-18 (currently £15,842-£16,536 per annum pro rata)
To bring together and co-ordinate information for carers across Devon (including on the Carers in Devon website).
This post, based within Carers at Exeter CVS, is available on a fixed-term contract from 1 October 2008 to 31 March 2010.

On behalf of the Devon Consortium, Exeter CVS wishes to appoint an enthusiastic person to deliver the CPR programme. The programme aims to provide the voice of the Voluntary and Community Sector in both representation to statutory agencies and in the design and delivery of infrastructure services to frontline organisations. It will include further activities to support and implement the published Compact for Devon.
Knowledge and understanding of the voluntary sector and statutory sector are essential. Candidates must be well organised with good partnership skills and willing to work some flexible hours.

Knowledge Manager and Policy Officer
4-year contract
(Secondments, and Commissions positively considered)
Do you have a background in content management? Experience of policymaking?
Are you a creative and dynamic person, do you have a depth of experience with Information Communication Technology and web based applications? If so we are looking for you.
The successful candidate will instigate and organise a skills knowledge and awareness campaign online and face to face with service users.
You will be a self-starter able and to work on your own initiative.
The role will support the BSWN program, aimed at the influencing of policy, promoting, protecting and building the capacity of the Third Sector in the South West. The role will support the interests of the network by development of the BNS (Black Net Solutions) Business & Knowledge Management Service
Experience of working in the third sector, with BME and multi-cultural communities is desirable.
£30,000 Pro Rata + Pension

Carers Link Development Officer, Northern Devon (25 hours per week) – salary equivalent to NJC 27-29 (currently £22,122-£23,749 per annum pro rata)
To be responsible for the Carers Link Scheme within the Northern locality and to promote membership of the Carers Link and carers services. Based within Carers+ (Westbank) but working in Northern Devon.
Carers Link Services Officer, Northern Devon (16 hours per week) – salary equivalent to NJC 16-18 (currently £15,842-£16,536 per annum pro rata)
To provide practical support to carers within their caring role and to help to promote the Devon Carers Link within the Northern locality. Based within Carers+ (Westbank) but working in Northern Devon.
Carers Link Administrative Assistant (various hours) – salary equivalent to NJC 10-12 (currently £13,336-£14,492 per annum pro rata)
To provide administrative and general support to the Carers Link within the relevant locality.
* One post (20 hours per week) based within Carers+ at East Devon CVS (Ottery St. Mary).
* One post (10 hours per week) based within Carers+ (Westbank) but working in Northern Devon.
* We would consider combining these posts, for the right candidate, but would anticipate some time being spent in each location.
