Networking and Representation
Exeter CVS is often asked to respond to consultations on behalf of the Voluntary Sector. You will be kept informed of consultations that may be relevant to your organisation and given an opportunity to take part. When you join the CVS you will be able to let us know whether you would like to be kept informed on certain topics or whether you would like the opportunity to input into consultations or decision-making processes.
Exeter CVS facilitates quarterly forums for voluntary sector organisations. This provides a chance to raise issues of concern, network with other agencies and exchange information, and collectively decide on courses of action to benefit the voluntary sector. Representatives from the forum attend the Social Health and Inclusion Partnership (SHIP) to raise voluntary sector issues.
The Volunteer Organisers Forum is open to anyone co-ordinating volunteers in the Exeter area, whether working in the Statutory or Voluntary Sector. The Forum provides a mutual support group, a chance to share information and best practice and training opportunities. Meetings are held every two months and agendas are published in advance so that you can choose which to attend.
As a member of Exeter CVS, you can have your say in the policy and running of Exeter CVS. Members are invited to attend the AGM and are able to vote at these meetings.
