How to become a member
Membership of Exeter CVS is open to all voluntary, community or charitable organisations or statutory service departments working for the benefit of the community within the Exeter local government district and surrounding area.
Membership is graded according to the level of service we provide:
- Full member
- Information subscriber
- Friend of Exeter CVS (please see application form for eligibility and rates)

Membership Benefits
Advice and Information covering a wide range of topics - constitutional, management, finance, marketing, fund-raising, signposting, starting new groups, local issues.
ExeChange - Members receive copies our newsletter, six times per year - full of information and news on funding and resources, legislation, practical help and local issues. Members and Information Subscribers can insert their own material.
eCVS news - members have the opportunity to receive news of voluntary sector issues by email.
Consultation with Statutory Bodies - representing the collective interests of Exeter’s Voluntary Sector and being a channel for consultation, eg. Exeter Social, Health & Inclusion Partnership.
Exeter Voluntary Sector Forum – a chance to raise issues of concern, network with other agencies and exchange information, and collectively decide on courses of action to benefit the voluntary sector.
Exeter Volunteer Organisers Forum - membership to attend support and training meetings.
GRANTfinder - Members are entitled to a GRANTfinder search - a funding database designed to eliminate time consuming searches through directories (£15 to non-members).
Learning - Exeter CVS is one of the largest providers of voluntary sector learning opportunities in the South West. Members receive discount on most of our courses.
Meeting Rooms - at reduced rate in modern accessible accommodation -(see resources leaflet). TV, video, hearing loop, OHP, data projector and flipcharts available.
Office Services - eg. duplicating, photocopying, laminating, binding.
Consultancy – provision of a range of consultancy services

Hire of equipment – collecting tins, display boards, slide projector
Influence - the right to have your say in the policy and running of Exeter CVS.
Publications - up to date information; local voluntary organisations.
